About us

Customer focus, innovation and engineering excellence!

These 3 core values are at the heart of everything we do.

  • Customer focus – Listening to our customers is part of our DNA. It ensures that the solutions we develop are closely aligned with the end user’s expectations.
  • Innovation – This is the ability to turn a dream into something real. We take our customer’s needs and turn them into solutions.
  • Engineering excellence – Our know-how and experience are what allow us to make innovative products that last in harsh environments.

Designing, engineering and manufacturing innovative solutions for customers is our passion. We are proud of our accomplishments, but we are even more excited about delivering new and even better solutions in the years to come.

What we do

From the early design stage to support for regulatory compliance, and from final commissioning to ongoing operation, we provide assistance covering all project phases:

  • Development
  • Engineering and construction
  • Production
  • After-sales services during operation

Thanks to this comprehensive approach, we ensure the quality of our components and guarantee a high level of reliability and performance. We have proven our technical expertise in obstruction lighting by successfully supplying equipment and providing services for both onshore and offshore wind farm projects, marine navigation aids, etc.

As a group, we now offer turnkey solutions to protect the tallest structures in the world – both at sea and on land – in partnership with our sister company ITO Navaids.

History and heritage

Technostrobe was founded in 2001 by Guy Buisson with the objective of helping pilots fly safely by providing innovative, robust and energy-efficient lighting technologies to the owners of tall structures. Years later, our equipment plays a major role in protecting aircraft pilots and their passengers when travelling in proximity to towers, wind farms and industrial chimneys.

Thanks to the vision of its founder, Technostrobe has distinguished itself by launching a number of innovative products over the last 15 years. Notable examples are a GPS synchronization system for the wind farm industry in 2005, medium intensity LED beacons for telecommunication companies in 2010 and high intensity LED systems for broadcasters in 2014.

Our most recent solution is called LIDS™ (Lighting Intensity Dimming Solution). It seeks to build a higher level of community acceptance for wind farms by allowing the lights to dim according to the surrounding visibility. The company’s current R&D investments are focused on developing the obstruction lighting technologies of the future, including advanced remote monitoring solutions.

Stimulated by the increasingly specialized requests of our clients, we constantly seek to surpass customer expectations by providing made-to-measure design, complete engineering drawings and technical expertise during installations.

We are proud of the projects we have completed for telecommunication companies, broadcasters, utilities and wind farms in Canada, the US and Mexico.
